Fiona went to Bangkok to celebrate New Year’s Eve and took this opportunity to visit more of Thailand. 

She really enjoyed visiting Ayutthaya, a historic city located a 3.5-hour drive from Bangkok. The sacred site features many temples, but she chose to visit Wat Mahathat, Wat Chaiwatthanaram and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet where this picture was taken, and absolutely loved it!

After that, she flew to Phuket where she stayed for 3 days and had a blast exploring Raya and Phi Phi islands on a snorkel day trip. The marine life was incredible, with vibrant colours, and she even got the chance to see sharks and sea horses!

Her top tip: “Hire a driver in Bangkok to take you around the city, it’s great value for money and you will get to see all the main attractions. Thai people are so friendly and helpful, it’s not a surprise that they are known for being the culture of smiles!” ❤️
